Marjalee's Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbs brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and mix well. Add sour cream, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt and mix completely. In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients. Spoon half of batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube or bundt pan. Cover with half of topping. Repeat. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes to 1 hour. Cool completely before removing from pan.
