Druid Harvest Pie

An Irish fall favorite from Chef Maeve

Ingredients

  • 2 firm Granny Smith Green Apples
  • 1 cup Cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pear
  • 1/4 cup Golden Raisins
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Clove
  • 1 TBSP Whiskey
  • 4 TBSP Corn Starch

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 360 degrees

Step #1: In a sauce pan on medium heat, cook cranberries, 1 cup sugar, spices and pear. Cook until cranberries are tender

Step #2: Allow cranberries to cool fully

Step #3: Peel and finely slice apples

Step #4: Gently fold apples into cranberry mix

Step #5: Add ½ cup remaining sugar and whiskey

Step #6: Fold in cornstarch

Step #7: Fill 9″ pie pan

Step #8: Create a crumb or pastry top for your pie

Step #9: Bake for 30 min at 360o
