Herring Salat

Ingredients

  • 1 jar herring (matjes)
  • 1/2 cup sour sahne (creme fresh)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 apple (Granny Smith)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 Dill pickles
  • 1 beet (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and core Apple
Chop apple, onion and pickle (beet if wanted)
Mix creme fresh and yogurt in a bowl
Add chopped ingredients and mix
Cut herring to desired size and add to bowl.
Mix well, cover and marinate in fridge for 2 hours.
