Fran's Spoon Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Scald milk in saucepan, add corn meal, egg yolk, butter and salt. Cook until thick and smooth. Remove from heat. Beat egg white until stiff and stir into cornmeal mix. Bake in greased 1 quart casserole for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
