Ingredients
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and very thinly sliced
Preparation
Step 1
Preparation:
Air Fryer Version:
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice.
In a larger mixing bowl, gently toss the apples, being careful not to break the slices up, with the spice mixture until evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 230°F for 2 minutes. Add the chips to the basket and cook for 45 minutes or until desired crispness. Toss chips frequently during cooking.
Oven Version:
Preheat the oven to 200°F.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice.
In a larger mixing bowl, gently toss the apples, being careful not to break the slices up, with the spice mixture until evenly coated.
Spread the apples out evenly over a baking sheet. Place into the oven and bake 1-1/2 hours. Flip the apples and bake for an additional 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until desired crispness. Turn off the oven, but still leave the apple chips inside for 1 more hour.
