Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies - Linda's File

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth)
• 1 egg
• 2 TBSPs milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 lb hershey kisses (large bag - unwrapped)

Preparation

Step 1

1) Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together
2) Combine all ingredients except the candy kisses in a large mixing bowl until a dough is formed. Low speed on mixer)
3) Shape dough into balls using a rounded tsp for each.
4) Roll balls in sugar (sugar in a small dish)
5) Place each ball on an ungreased cookie sheet.
6) Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
7) When removed put a candy kiss in the center and press into the cookie so that the cookie cracks around the edge.
8) Let cool thoroughly.
