Chocolate Hazelnut Ladyfinger Torte

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 oz soft ladyfingers
  • 13 oz jar hazelnut spread
  • 8 oz caramel topping
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 tbs powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 oz semi-sweet baking squares

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate chips in microwave. Set aside. Line bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan with split ladyfingers. Spread hazelnut spread over ladyfingers in bottom of pan. Carefully spoon or squirt caramel topping over hazelnut spread. Beat 1/3 cup powdered sugar and cream cheese at medium speed until fluffy. Add melted chocolate chips until blended. Beat 2 cups whipping cream until stiff and fold into cream cheese mixture. Spoon over caramel layer in pan. Shave baking squares with a vegetable peeler over top of torte. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Chill one hour and release from pan.
