Roasted Cauliflower Steaks with Chili Lime Mayo

  • Chili Lime Mayo:
  • 1/2 C mayonnaise
  • 1 T asian chili sauce
  • 1 T lime juice
  • 1/4 t chili powder
  • 1 minced clove garlic
  • Salt & pepper
  • Steaks:
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 T olive oil + more for brushing
  • Salt, pepper & garlic powder
  • 1 T butter


Servings 4


Step 1

In med. bowl, whisk all ingredients for chili mayo until combined. Cover & refrigerate.

Preheat oven to 400.
Remove outer leaves & trim stem of cauliflower. Using large knife, trim sides, then carefully
cut cauliflower into 4 large slices from top to bottom, @ 3/4" thick. Brush each steak with olive oil & season well with salt, pepper & light sprinkle of garlic powder.

Heat oil & butter in large skillet over med-hi heat. Working 1-2 slices at a time, sear each side of cauliflower until golden brown, @ 2 min per side. Transfer to baking sheet lined with foil & brushed with oil. Roast until tender, @ 10-20 min. Serve immediately with chili lime mayo
