Two Chocolate Cakes

Ingredients

  • Cake #1:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sifted, self-rising flour
  • 1 can Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • Cake #2:
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 3/4-1 cup mayonnaise

Preparation

Step 1

Cake #1:
Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs one at a time, add vanilla. Add flour and syrup alternately. Pour into a greased, floured springform pan. Bake at 325° for about 55 minutes.

Cake #2:
Mix and sift dry ingredients together. Add mayonnaise and cold water. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
