Oatmeal Macaroons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp molasses
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Combine shortening, salt, cinnamon, vanilla, molasses, sugar, and eggs. Sift flour and baking soda together and add to wet ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes.
