Ingredients

  • Thin (1 1/2 c.):
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 T. flour
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • Medium (1 c.):
  • 2 T. butter
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • Thick (1 c.):
  • 3 T. butter
  • 4 T. flour
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • Directions:
  • ●Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
  • ●Blend in flour, salt and a dash of white pepper. Add milk all at once.
  • ●Cook quickly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.
