Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds raw shrimp, peeled and deveined I use 21/25 ct
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • dash of hot sauce
  • olive oil for grill

Preparation

Step 1

Dry the shrimp well with paper towels. Combine all ingredients except shrimp. Whisk together until the honey has dissolved. Add shrimp and marinade for 1 hour.
Skewer the shrimp and brush the grill with olive oil. Preheat grill to medium and grill shrimp 2 to 3 minutes on each side until the shrimp slightly curl and turn pink.
If roasting, preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange the shrimp on a baking sheet, 1 inch apart. Put the pan in the oven toward the back and roast 8 to 10 minutes or until the shrimp slightly curl and turn pink (use shorter cooking time if using a thin pan or smaller shrimp)
