Yukon Gold Gruyere Swiss Cheese Smashed Potatoes
Could make this for a large group. Precooked potatoes, popped in the over just before guest arrive.
This recipe served 4-6 people.
- 4-6 medium Yukon Gold potatoes
- 4-6 pats of butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1-6 slices of Gruyere Swiss Cheese
- favorite toppings.

Boil your potatoes whole or microwave the potatoes (cook until you can gently slide a butter knife into the potato). Once cooked, (slightly) smash the potatoes on a baking sheet keeping them in one piece and top with seasoning. After your smashed potatoes are baked, they will have super fluffy soft potato insides with crispy edges! *PS…they pan fry for excellent breakfast potatoes too!!
Add your favorite toppings to make the perfect Smashed Potato!
You can use whatever potatoes you prefer, but don’t be shy with the turmeric…it’s just made for potato seasoning!!
