Mediterranean Crescent Ring

Ingredients

  • CRESENT RING INCREDIENTS
  • 1 sheet pre-made puff pastry
  • 1 package chopped spinach, drained and thawed
  • 1 jar STAR Pimento Stuffed Olives, chopped
  • 1 jar Cara Mia Marinated Artichoke Hearts, chopped
  • 1 jar Cara Mia Sun Dried Tomatoes, drained
  • 3/4 cup feta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons STAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • DIPPING SAUCE INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup STAR Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2 of a cup of STAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Preparation

Step 1

1) Pre-heat oven to 350F.

2) In a large bowl add spinach, STAR olives, Cara Mia artichokes, Cara Mia sun dried tomatoes, feta, mozzarella, garlic and STAR olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.

3) Roll out the puff pastry into a circle and place on a large, lightly greased baking sheet. Use a bowl to create a center outline and gently scoop the filling around the bowl. Once you remove the bowl, slice the center like a pizza into 8 triangles. Fold the triangle pieces over the filling to form a ring.

4) Brush dough with beaten egg wash and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

5) Bake at 350F for 20 minutes until filling has melted and pastry dough is browned.

6) While your ring is baking, in a small bowl whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, STAR olive oil, STAR red wine vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste.

7) Remove ring from oven, serve and enjoy alongside your dipping sauce!
