Ingredients

  • 1

    small onion, minced

  • 3

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1

    (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • handful torn basil

  • 1

    lb. small pasta shells

  • 1

    cup pesto

  • 1

    cup ricotta cheese

  • 1

    lb. grated fresh mozzarella

  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

Saute one small onion and 3 cloves garlic. Add crushed tomatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add torn basil. Let simmer. Cook pasta. Add 1 cup pesto and 1 cup Ricotta cheese. Stir well. Place in greased baking dish. Top with mozzarella and a couple handfuls of Parmesan cheese. Quick melt dish in broiler. Cover with sauce and serve!
