Strawberry Pretzel Pie

Ingredients
- Crust:
- 3 1/2 c. pretzels
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- Filling:
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 T. cornstarch
- 1 package strawberry gelatin
- 3 pints strawberries, hulled and halved
- 2 c. heavy cream

Step 1
For crust: Preheat oven to 350°. Crush pretzels in a large plastic bag with rolling pin. Mix in a bowl with the butter and brown sugar. Press into a pie pan and bake for 8 minutes. Remove and cool.
Filling: Put 1 1/2 c. water, sugar, cornstarch and gelatin in a saucepan. Stir together and bring to a boil. Cook until it starts to thicken, remove from heat. Put strawberries in a bowl and pour sauce over, gentle tossing together. Allow to cool slightly, then pile coated strawberries into the cooled pie crust. Spoon over any leftover sauce and refrigerate, uncovered for 4 hours.
Whip cream and spread on top of pie.
