- dark brown sugar, packed

- vanilla extract

- flour
- 1 tsp
- salt
- 1 tsp
- baking soda
- 2 tsp
- cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp
- nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp
- cloves or allspice
- 2 1/4 c
- quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 1/2 large
- granny smith apple, peeled and diced small (eat other 1/2 or use 2 medium)

- cinnamon chips, 10 oz.

- chopped walnuts
- glaze or white chocolate for garnish

Preparation
Step 1
1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2In mixer bowl cream butter and brown sugar; about 2 minutes.
3Beat in egg and vanilla.
4Sift flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
5Mix flour mixture into creamed mixture just until blended.
6Add oatmeal, apples, cinnamon chips and walnuts till blended.
7Scoop dough onto cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are light brown.
8Let cool a few minutes and remove to cooling rack to cool completely.
9Drizzle with melted white chocolate or with a powdered sugar glaze. I used melted white chocolate and it was delicious... Enjoy!
