Best Chocolate Cake since 1976


This is by far the "moistest and chocolatey" cake I have ever made....and I have tried many recipes! Hersey's cocoa is the best but any brand can be used.

  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/4 C marg
  • 2 C white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 C cocoa
  • 1 3/4 C unsifted all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 C milk



Step 1

Cream eggs, butter and suger until light and fluffy. Add all dry ingredients together and mix. To the egg mixture add some dry some wet (milk), some dry, some wet...ligtly stirring as you do it until all mixed.

Divide the batter into 2 round cake pans or one large rectangual and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
