Karen's Mint Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 pouches Ghiradelli Deluxe Brownie Mix
  • 3 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 6 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 6 Tbsp cream
  • 3 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare brownies per package directions, adding 1 tsp. peppermint extract. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 45 minutes (do not overbake).

After brownies have completely cooled, mix the softened butter, cream and powdered sugar together. Spread over cooled brownies.

Melt 4 Tbsp. butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Spread over hardened second layer.

Let sit at room temperature until 3rd layer has hardened. Cut mint brownies into squares and then refrigerate. Remove from refrigerator about 15 minutes before serving.
