Swiss Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • (8 oz.) bittersweet chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 3 Tbls. sugar
  • 4 tsps. Rum

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the milk in a large saucepan until almost boiling.
Meanwhile, whip the cream to soft peaks; set aside.
Remove milk from heat and whisk in all but 2 teaspoons
of chocolate. Add the sugar and rum and whisk until
foamy. Pour chocolate into 4 mugs; top with whipped cream
and sprinkle remaining chocolate on top. Serve immediately.
