Mississippi Pot Roast

My family loves this dish...sometime I cut the butter in half...it makes a really delicious gravy for mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 2 T. Oil
  • 1-4 Pound Chuck Roast
  • 1-1 oz. Packet of Au Jus Mix
  • 1-1 oz. Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 8 Pepperocini Peppers

Preparation

Step 1

Brown Roast on all sides in oil over med-high heat.

Step 2

Put roast in crock pot sprayed with cooking spray.

Step 3

Mix Au jus and ranch dressing powders. Pour all over roast.

Step 4

Add butter to the center of the roast.

Step 5

Add peppers to top and around roast.

Step 6

Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
