Sour Cream Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 5 large tart apples
  • 1 pastry-lined 9" pie pan
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cups (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and cut apples into thick slices. Arrange slices in overlapping rows in the pastry-line pan; sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly; spoon over apples. Spread with sour cream over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 min. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until apples are tender (about 20 to 25 minutes longer).
