Honey-Glazed Frankfurters

This is one of my Mother's (Jeannette Costigan's) recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Madeira wine
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 pound cocktail frankfurters
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • Heat all ingredients except frankfurters in a skillet over low heat until a slightly thick syrup forms. Stir frequently.
  • Add the frankfurters and continue heating and stirring until they become nicely glazed all over. Serve hot on toothpicks from a chafing dish.
