CROCK POT SAUSAGE POTATO SOUP

Ingredients

  • 1 lb mild ground sausage, browned and drained
  • 6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot (OR 6 baby carrots), sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 5 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 5 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • Optional topping: shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Instructions
Put everything in your crock pot EXCEPT your milk and cheese
Gently mix it up
Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or high for 3-4 hours
When you have an hour left, stir in your milk
Serve with cheese sprinkled on top, if desired
