Italian Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, torn in bite size pices
  • 1 sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. fried bacon, crumbled
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • small amount vinegar
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sour cream and sugar. Add enough vinegar to mayo to make it spreadable. Layer salad in 9x13 pan as follows: lettuce, celery, bacon, sour cream/sugar mixture, lettuce, celery, onion, mayo/vinegar mixture, bacon and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
