Ingredients
- 8 cups bread flour
- 4 cups warm water (110°F / 43.3°C)
- 2 tbsp dry active yeast
- 2 tbsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a large container with a lid, add in the salt, then yeast, then water & stir mixture to dissolve the salt.
Then add in the 8 cups of flour.
Mix with the back of a wooden spoon until unable to mix. You may use your hands to mix if it is easier.
The dough will be rather sticky.
Lay the lid back on without shutting it, allowing the dough to rise.
Leave on the counter for 2 hours.
Use a portion to shape into a ball & leave on baking paper to proof for 40 mins.
Bake in preheated oven (450°F / 232°C / 210°C Fan) for 30 mins.
Put a pan with hot water below the bread for a nice crust.
