Will make a size and a half Lasagna pan. Can cut in half.

Ingredients

  • 16 OZ Box Penne Pasta
  • 1 Lg Ragu
  • 15 oz Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Can Water
  • 15 Oz Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Onion diced
  • 2 tsp Garlic
  • Oil
  • 1 lb. Jimmy Dean or ring Sausage
  • 15 Oz Ricotta ( can use less)
  • 2-3 C Mozzarella
  • Sprinkle - grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Dash Oregano
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • Large Lasagna Pan

Preparation

Step 1

Sauce:
In a small pan brown Garlic, Onion and Sausage in Oil. Once browned add all tomato ingredients, Water, Salt and Pepper and sugar to taste. Bring to a boil and simmer for an hour or more. Turn off heat and let sauce settle.
Boil Pasta , add a little salt and olive oil to keep from sticking together. When done , rinse .
Put just enough sauce to cover bottom of pan. Then start layering.
Pasta, Ricotta (small clumps) , Mozzarella, Parmesan, (Salt and Pepper and Oregano if desired).
Then sauce to cover the layer. Repeat layers. Sprinkle Parmesan and Parsley Flakes on top.
Bake at 350 for 60 Mins. Let rest a few mins.
