Crisp Chocolate-Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 C all purpose flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 C butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 pkg, 12 oz., semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 c chopped nuts, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl cream butter and sugars until light; beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. With spoon stir in flour mixture, chocolate and nuts. Shape into 1 inch balls about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets . Bake in preheated 350 oven 15 min or until flat and browned. Cool. Store in airtight container.
