Preparation

Step 1

Cut the jalapeno peppers in half length wise, remove all seeds and ribs. Place cut peppers on paper towel or dry them thoroughly, so the cream cheese does not slide out.

Using a tablespoon, fill the halved jalapeno peppers with cream cheese. Wrap a piece of bacon around the filled jalapenos and secure with toothpicks in the ends so the bacon does not curl and come undone.

Place on a cookie sheet or cake pan lined with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes on the bottom rack of your oven. Remove from oven and place on another cookie sheet (to avoid grease splatters).

Set oven to BROIL and place pan of jalapeno peppers on top rack until browned and bacon is cooked. If the bacon is already cooked, you may remove the toothpicks before broiling.
