Tandoori marinade

use for whole chicken or chicken pieces. great with chicken thighs

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 in. knob of ginger, chopped
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 TBS tomato paste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp each of turmeric, coriander, cumin and salt
  • 1 TBS brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Blend all ingredients with stick blender. Place chicken in marinade and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
