This recipe is very versatile. You can substitute fresh or frozen fruit for the apple. If you use frozen, don't defrost the fruit just adjust the milk to 1 1/2 c. I have also used water instead of the milk when we have run out of coconut milk and it still tastes good just as not as good. (We are dairy free). I unfortunately can't remember the website where I found the original recipe. It was from a Pennsylvania farm's B&B.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tabl melted butter
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 1/3 c oats
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 apple diced
  • 1/3 c dried fruit of your choice

Bake at 375 for 45 min (about 30 if you are using frozen).
