Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 RECIPE
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 1/2 cup or 1 stick butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 RECIPES
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 2 sticks butter, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

Beat crisco and butter until smooth, add vanilla. Gradually add sugar a little at a time. When all sugar is mixed in well, add milk one tbsp at a time. Turn mixer up to medium speed and beat for two minutes until creamy. Add more milk if needed only a little at a time.
