Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 ( 6 oz. ) pkg. Andes mints, any
- flavor
- 60 nut halves, optional
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, margarine, eggs, water and vanilla; mix well.
Stir in flour, soda and salt; mix well.
Chill dough at least 2 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Enclose each mint wafer completely in about 1 Tbsp. of the cookie dough.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Top with nut half.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
