Chicken-Almond Crusted

Almonds are loaded with healthy antioxidant vitamin E and add a great crunch to baked chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken-breast halves,(about 4 oz. each)
  • 2 tsp.of Parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400*F. Combine almonds, brown sugar and garlic salt. Dredge chicken in the almond-brown sugar mixture. Arrange chicken on a baking sheet.Firmly pat any remaining mixture on top of each chicken piece. Bake for 18 mins. or until a thermometer inserted in the thickess part registers 180*F. Garish with parsley
