Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 6 tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 24 small tart shells, baked

Preparation
Step 1
Make and bake tart shells. Cut rounds of pastry 3" in diameter.
Melt butter; blend in flour over very low heat.
Remove from heat; stir in maple syrup and hot water.
Return to heat; bring mixure to a boil, stirring constantly until thick. Then continue cooking for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Let mixture cool at least 15 minutes before spooning into tart shells.
If desired, garnish with whipped cream or chopped nuts.
