Oatmeal raisin muffins

  • 1 c sifted flour
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 c shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c gran sugar
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1 c quick cooking oats
  • 1 c milk



Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder and salt, cut in shortening til mix resembles crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine egg, milk and brown sugar, beat well. Add to dry ingred. Stir til moist. Add raisins. Spoon into tins. Comb. Sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over muffins. Bake 425 for 15-20 min.
