Ingredients
- 11 cans (#2) sliced beets with liquid
- 5 pounds sugar
- water to cover
- 1 1/3 ounces pickling spices tied in cloth
Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients in large stock pot or dishpan. Add enough water to the beets and beet Liquid to finish covering the beets. Let it come to a boil; boil 20-30 minutes. Spoon into prepared pint or quart jars while hot. Seal tightly.
