Ingredients
- Dressing
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Coleslaw
- 1 pound (16-ounces) bag coleslaw mix
- 1 medium green bell pepper,seeded cut into thin rings
- 1 medium Spanish red onion* cut into thin rings
Preparation
Step 1
* Onions are my addition: slice into very thin rings then cut into half strip circles.
1. Dressing: In medium-size bowl, whisk together cider vinegar, water, ketchup, brown sugar, salt, hot-pepper sauce and black pepper.
2. Coleslaw: Add coleslaw mix and green pepper and onion rings to dressing in bowl; toss to thoroughly coat. Cover and refrigerate, tossing occasionally, for at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours.
