Ingredients
- 4 cups (1-quart) blackberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Topping**
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup (8-ounces) sugar (more to taste)
- 1 cup (8-ounces) all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter melted
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375F. degrees.
Place 4 cups fresh berries in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking pan; sprinkle with lemon juice.
Topping:
**Better to make more topping to use on this.
Mix the egg and flour in medium bowl until it resembles coarse meal.
Sprinkle over the fruit.
Drizzle the melted butter over the topping.
Bake at 375 F. degrees for 35 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
(Took longer than 35 minutes to brown).
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
May use 6(8 oz.) ramekins on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet and bake same time and degrees as above..
