Reese's Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening* room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 ounces peanut butter chips
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • nuts optional

Preparation

Step 1

*OR 3/4 cups butter or margarine, softened.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream shortening, sugars and vanilla til light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Combine flour and baking soda, blend into creamed mix. Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Yield: 5 dozen cookies.
