Ham and Asparagus Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 1/2 pounds asparagus spears cooked and drained
  • 8 slices ham thinly sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over low heat;
stir in the flour and salt.
gradually stir in the milk;
cook stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
Add cheese, stir until melted.

Using the 8 slices of ham, wrap 5 or 6 asparagus spears with a ham slice and place in a baking dish. Repeat with the remaining ham slices and asparagus spears..

Place baking dish in 375 degree F for about 10 minutes or until heated through.

Pour cheese sauce over roll-ups to serve.

Serves 4.

Serve with tomato slices and biscuits for lunch.
