Cheese Pennies

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick; 4-ounces) butter softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup pecan halves, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

Soften margarine with cheese.; Mix well.
Add flour and dry onion soup mix.
Shape into rolls and slice into bite size pieces
Top each "penny" with pecan half.
Place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees 8-10 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
