Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 3 cups loosely packed basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup (4-ounces) olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation

Step 1

• In a blender or food processor, combine garlic, salt and pine nuts; cover and process until finely chopped. Add basil and olive oil; puree until smooth.
Add cheese and process just until combined. Serve with pasta, grilled meats or cooked vegetables.
