Ingredients

  • 1 pkg cream cheese, softened 1 cup almonds
  • 6 tbsp butter 6 squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp flour 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 2/3 cup coconut

Preparation

Step 1

Beat cream cheese & 2 tbsp butter until softened; beat in 1/4 cup sugar. Stir in 1 egg, 1 tbsp flour, & coconut. Stir in 1/3 cup almonds; set aside. Stir 5 squares chocolate & remaining butter over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup sugar & vanilla. Beat in 2 eggs. Stir in 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, & salt. Add remaining chopped almonds. Spread chocolate batter in greased 11"x7". Spread cheese batter on top. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until done. Melt remaining chocolate, drizzle over brownies. Cool in pan.
