Crunchy Oven French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 T margarine
  • 5 T wheat germ
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 T honey
  • 3/4 cup fat free cholesterol free egg product OR 6 egg whites
  • 12 slices French bread, 1 inch thick

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in jelly roll pan (15.5x10.5x1); spread evenly in pan.
Sprinkle 3 T wheat germ evenly over margarine.
Beat OJ, honey and egg product with hand mixer until foamy. Soak each side of bread in egg mixture for 5 minutes. Drizzle remaining mixture over bread. Sprinkle remaining wheat germ over bread.
Bake 10 mins or until bottoms are golden brown; turn. Bake 6-8 mins longer or until bottoms are golden.
