CHOPS****Slow-Cooker Pork Chops

28/08/16 - Good way to cook thick chops - bone in or boneless.

Ingredients

  • 2 thick pork chops, approx 250g each
  • seasonings of choice - peppercorns, herbs, onions, garlic, whatever you like
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup liquid of choice - chicken broth, beef broth, beer, etc.
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Season the chops and put them in the slow cooker, with seasonings, and enough liquid to just barely cover and cook until they are tender - overnight on simmer.

Just before serving, pat the chops dry and sauté in a skilled with the oil and butter until caramelized.

Serve with a sauce or gravy, if desired or simply as is.
