Slow Cooker Oatmeal
This is still a work in progress...
- 2 cups oats
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 T butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 peeled, chopped apple
Mix all ingredients, except apples & pecans, in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours (over night is fine).
Add in apples and pecans. I like them to be crisp so I put them in the next day. You can put them in with the rest of the ingredients if you like.
Top with milk, cream, additional sugar... whatever you like.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Re-heat in the microwave.
