Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 pound green beans, stem ends trimmed
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- Water
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat until it foams. Swirl gently. When the foam has settled, watch the butter as it begins to brown. When it is an even nutty brown colour immediately add the green beans, pine nuts and a splash of water. Season with salt and pepper and cover with a lid. Steam until the beans are tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
