- Pie dough as in previous recipe

Step 1
If the pie shell is to be baked with out filling prick the dough generously with a fork after you have placed it in the pie pan. Line it with tin foil. Weight it with dry beans or pie weights. Remove the beans a few minutes before the baking period is over. Unfilled pie shells are baked in a 425 oven for 15 min. Remove the pie weights and cook another 5-10 min until golden. Cool before filling
