  • 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • Medium:
  • 4 Tbs butter
  • 4 Tbs flour
  • 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • Thick:
  • 6 Tbs butter
  • 8 Tbs flour
  • 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter over low heat. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring until well blended. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk and return to heat. Cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
